4 The Moms is a holistic, evidence-based postpartum and birth recovery service supporting families through the transitional period of the 4th trimester - bringing home your baby.
The shift into parenthood is profound, and many first-time parents don’t realize just how much that transition entails. It can feel overwhelming, daunting, and anxiety-ridden. I serve as an unbiased, compassionate support system, helping your family navigate the early months with your newborn while also supporting your relationship, mental health, physical recovery, and daily needs, from emotional support to nourishing meals and practical guidance.
For families welcoming their second, third, or fourth child, postpartum support looks different. This season is about navigating new family dynamics, supporting siblings, learning your new baby’s personality, and adapting to the unexpected changes that can come with each unique birth and recovery experience.
All services are tailored to meet the unique needs, values, and rhythms of each family as no two postpartum journeys look the same.

Emotional & Mental Health Support
The early weeks after birth are full of change- little sleep, new responsibilities, shifting emotions, and the transition into parenthood. Postpartum doulas provide steady, nonjudgmental support during this adjustment, helping families build confidence as they settle into their new roles. When emotional challenges feel heavier than expected, we are trained to recognize when additional support is needed and connect families with trusted professionals.
Household & Practical Support
Light household tasks related to postpartum care may include meal preparation, tidying baby-related areas, washing bottles or pump parts, running errands, and baby laundry. We support families by handling these basic, but time-consuming tasks- especially during the early months when you are recovering, sleep-deprived, and learning your baby’s cues and needs.
Breastfeeding & Lactation Support
Light household tasks related to postpartum care may include meal preparation, tidying baby-related areas, washing bottles or pump parts, running errands, and baby laundry. We support families by handling these basic, but time-consuming tasks- especially during the early months when you are recovering, sleep-deprived, and learning your baby’s cues and needs.
Labor Recovery
Doulas are typically holistic-based, using evidence-informed natural remedies to support maternal healing. This may include preparing homemade perineal salves, setting up sitz baths, or making bulk padsicles for comfort and relief. Some doulas also prepare nourishing stews, broths, and warm meals that support internal healing. Most importantly, we are trained to recognize when healing is not progressing normally, and to recommend medical care if concerns or emergencies arise.
Sibling & Family Adjustment
Whether this is your first, second, or third child, welcoming a new baby is a major transition for everyone involved. Postpartum doulas are trained to support each member of the family, including siblings, and to thoughtfully discuss evolving family dynamics with parents so care can be tailored to your unique needs. We help navigate integration and boundaries with extended family, bridging gaps so parents can focus on what matters most during this season. A doula offers emotionally attuned, adaptable support, meeting each family where they are and honoring every dynamic.
We Are NEAR
A doula’s role can be summed up by the acronym NEAR: nurturing, educating, assessing, and referring. Doulas maintain trusted referral networks, both local and virtual, so families have access to knowledgeable support beyond our scope of care. We build strong professional relationships so you don’t have to search for resources on your own. Doulas are lifelong learners who continually expand their education, allowing us to offer evidence-based guidance that supports your confidence and peace of mind throughout our work together.
